Kerry Smith - Director / Architect

ARIAS, RIBA, ARB, B. Arch (Hons), Dip (Arch), MSc (Conservation)

Kerry trained at the Mackintosh School of Architecture, graduating in 1998. Prior to founding KSA, she spent 5 years working abroad in Sweden and Ireland working on a variety  of work, including RIAI award winning social housing and conservation projects.

She is an examiner for the Architects' Professional Examination Authority in Scotland and a Dundee Institute of Architects Committee Member.

David Strathdee - Senior Architect

ARB, M. Arch, BSc (Hons)

Following his graduation from the Scott Sutherland School of Architecture in 2009, David  has worked for a number of practices in the North East of Scotland.  He has a broad range of experience in a variety of projects from small scale domestic extensions to masterplanning large housing developments of up to 500 houses.

Jodie Black - Architectural Assistant

B. Arch (Hons)

Following the receipt of her degree from the University of Dundee, Jodie joined KSA in order to progress her training. She has a keen interest in building conservation and is an active member of the Montrose Society. Jodie has been involved in a number of conservation projects including the conversion of a disused church into residential flats.


Angela Winton - Office Administrator

Angela oversees the day to day running of the office, ensuring that it runs smoothly. She has been working at KSA since 2013 and provides essential support to the rest of the team.

Jamie Adams (JA Properties) - Business and Accounts Manager


After spending 9 years working as a sales director for Glendevon Energy, Jamie has joined the KSA team where he is responsible for business administration and financial planning. Alongside this role, Jamie has focussed his pursuits into property developments of his own (JA Properties). He has to date completed two restoration projects in Montrose and has his third project underway.
